Geile, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Mary Bartz Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Ind.

She was born April 5, 1915, near Advance, daughter of William F. and Lucy Scott Carlton. She and Sylvester Geile were married in 1932 in Piggott, Ark. He died in November 1978.

Survivors include a sister, Vallie Bollinger of Advance.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
