SIKESTON -- Joseph Charles "J.C." McMillen, 78, of Sikeston died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Murray, Ky., son of Maxie and Maggie Stagner McMillen.

McMillen lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bertrand.

Survivors include two brothers, Willie McMillen of Bertrand, Grady McMillen of St. Louis; four sisters, Edna Huey of Lewisburg, Ky., Reva Switzer of Peoria, Ill., Dorothy Patrick of Kilbourne, Ill., and Margaret Cates of Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 9 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
