DEXTER -- John H. Null, 82, of Dexter and formerly of Chaffee, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born March 13, 1916, in Lutesville, son of Lee Andrew and Louisa Beel Harrison.

He and Carrie McMillon were married Dec. 17, 1953, in Chaffee.

He was a retired butcher and a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Null served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Louis "Doc" Null of Marble Hill; five sisters, Mildred VanGennip of Advance, Clara Ford of Marble Hill, Maud Crites of Union Mills, Ind., Dorothy Woodfin of Marble Hill and Melba Huffman of McClure, Ill.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ron Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
