BURFORDVILLE - Mr. William "Bill" Nunn age 72 of Burfordville passed away Thursday, March 4, 1999 at the St. Francis Medical Center.

Mr. Nunn was born July 7, 1926 in Bridgeport, Neb. the son of Jesse and Rachel Lamm Nunn. He married the former Erma Garvin June 22, 1946 and she survives.

Also surviving is a son, Billy Wayne Nunn of Burfordville; one daughter, Mardell Amelunke of Burfordville; three grandchildren, John Eric Amelunke of Oak Ridge, Katie Amelunke of St. Louis and Elizabeth Nunn of Leopold; his mother, Rachel Nunn of Kremmling, Colo.; three brothers, Keith Nunn of Kremmling, Colo.; Norman Nunn of Gypsum, Colo; and Max Nunn of Paradise, Calif.; and three sisters, Carol Tunkin of Des Moines, Iowa; Ardith Lambert of Tuscon, Ariz. and Doris Kleifs of Tuscola, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

He served in the Navy during WWII.Mr. Nunn started working for the Natural Gas Pipeline of America in 1955 in Hammond, Ill. He transferred to the plant located west of Jackson in 1962 retiring in 1986.

He and his wife, Erma purchased the Burfordville Store in 1973 and re-named it The Old Mill Store.

He was a seasonal employee for the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources State Historical Society at the Old Bollinger Mill located at Burfordville. He was a member of the former Cape County Auxiliary Sheriff's Patrol and Former Civil Defense for Cape County. He was a member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church of Jackson.

Friends may call at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 1999 with Memorial Services at 12:30 pm. Rev.'s Lloyd Englemann and Scott Lohse will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the New McKendree United Methodist Youth Fund or the American Heart Association.
