PATTON -- Metta Marie Mungle, 87, of Patton died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at the family home. She was born Feb. 18, 1912, at Yount, daughter of Frank and Sarah Jane Halbrooks Yamnitz. She married R.S. "Butch" Mungle Sept. 2, 1931. He survives. She was a housewife and a member of the Patton United Methodist Church for the past 50 years, singing in the choir until 1997...

PATTON -- Metta Marie Mungle, 87, of Patton died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at the family home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1912, at Yount, daughter of Frank and Sarah Jane Halbrooks Yamnitz. She married R.S. "Butch" Mungle Sept. 2, 1931. He survives.

She was a housewife and a member of the Patton United Methodist Church for the past 50 years, singing in the choir until 1997.

She is survived by three sons, Leroy and Bob Mungle, both of Patton, and Arnold Mungle of St. Louis; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and a grandson.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Stella Turner officiating.

Burial will be at the Patton Cemetery.
