ELVIS HINTON

DEXTER -- Elvis D. Hinton, 85, of Great Bend, Kan., died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend.

He was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Advance, son of R. Henry and Nona Sims Hinton. He and Novella Stewart were married July 15, 1934, at Bernie.

Hinton was a retired automotive parts salesman. He formerly lived in St. Louis and Stoddard County.

He was a member of First Christian Church in St. Ann, and a member of Teamsters Local 618.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lois Johnson of Great Bend; and a grandson.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Hinton's son-in-law, Bill Johnson, will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
