Daisy Victoria Wilkinson, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 28, 1906, at Cascade, daughter of John and Hattie Stroup Dorsey. She and Elba M. Wilkinson were married Aug. 6, 1924, at Marble Hill. He died Dec. 3, 1971.
Wilkinson was a member of First General Baptist Church and its Ladies Aid, Navy Mothers, Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary, and Spring Valley Extension Club.
Survivors include two sons, Glen "Doc" and Bob Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Betty O'Howell of San Bernardino, Calif., Mildred Tapley of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., Caroline Green of Baton Rouge, La., Brenda Bowman and Winnis Givens of Cape Girardeau; 33 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Griesemer officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
