Steven Wayne Wright, 48, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tenn., following a traffic accident.
He was born April 18, 1950, at Cape Girardeau, son of Robert H. Wright and Geraldine Ford Wright.
He married Kathryn Olsen Jan. 5, 1974, at Bragg City. She survives.
Wright served in the Army.
He was a member of Grace Untied Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. He was a graduate of Cape Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked for the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School. He previously worked 18 years in banking, at the former 1st National Bank, the former Centerre Bank, and Mercantile Bank. He also worked at Capetown RV and Wieser Honda, before accepting the position at Vo-Tech.
He also was a former Cape Girardeau school board member.
Survivors include two sons, Corey Wright of Charleston, S.C., and Scott Wright of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Robert R. Wright of Huntsville, Ala., James E. Wright of St. Louis and Randy D. Wright of Pacific; and a sister, Judy Hutteger of Cape Girardeau.
Services are incomplete at Ford and Sons Funeral Home and will be announced later.
