ANNA, Ill. -- Ruby Mae Westbrook, 79, of Anna and formerly of Cobden, died Friday, April 2, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Dongola, daughter of Lorenzo Wilcox and Flora Fidela Sheffer Benson. She married Carl Fred "Jim" Westbrook Jan. 18, 1935, in Union County. He survives.
She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle of Jonesboro.
She also is survived by three daughters, Louise Glasco of Anna, Rosalie Girtman of Cobden and Flo Ann Deppe of Percy; two sons, John Westbrook of Richmond, Ind., and Adrian Westbrook of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four half brothers.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Galbraith officiating.
Burial will be at the Cobden Cemetery.
