Funeral for Steve Wright of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church. Dr. Larry Gallamore will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Wright, 48, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tenn., following an automobile accident on Interstate 40 near Crossville.

He was born April 18, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert H. and Geraldine Ford Wright. He and Kathryn Olsen were married Jan. 5, 1974, at Bragg City.

Wright was a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was employed at Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School. He worked 18 years in banking at the former First National Bank, the former Centerre Bank, and Mercantile Bank. He had also worked at Capetown RV and Wieser Honda.

Wright was a former Cape Girardeau school board member. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Corey Wright of Charleston, S.C., Scott Wright of Cape Girardeau; his father of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Robert Wright of Huntsville, Ala., James Wright of St. Louis, Randy Wright of Pacific; and a sister, Judy Hutteger of Cape Girardeau.
