TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral for John Ice of Hillsboro will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery at Tamms.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Monday.

Ice, 82, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Sunrise Rehabilitation Center in Carlinville.

He was born May 22, 1916, in Miller City, son of James and Stella Simpson Ice. He and Ruby Harvell were married April 8, 1939. She died Nov. 18, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Joselyn of Scandia, Minn., Phyllis Holloway of Hillsboro; three sons, Phillip Ice of Thonotosassa, Fla., Jerry Ice of Vera, Okla., and Gary Ice of Denver, Colo.

Also surviving is a brother, James Ice of Miller City; three sisters, Martha Nehring of Murphysboro, Florence Miller of Anna, Audrey Hood of Van Cleave, Miss.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
