PERRYVILLE -- Lester "Perry" Berkbigler, 53, of Perryville died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born June 5, 1945, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Lester and Artie Wills Berkbigler. He and Elizabeth "Betty" Baer were married May 2, 1965. She died Nov. 25, 1991.

Berkbigler was a construction laborer, and a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church at Biehle.

Survivors include two sons, Perry and Christopher Berkbigler of Perryville; three daughters, Pamela Massey and Patricia Massey of Chico, Texas, Tina Krauss of Perryville; two sisters, Jeanne Seiler and Janet Kester of Friedheim; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 4 p.m. today and the rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Maurus Church, with the Rev. Mark Bozada officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
