BLOOMFIELD -- Wiley Lin Hartley, 91, of Bloomfield died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born March 1, 1908, at Petersburg, Ill., son of Thomas and Sylvia Jane Wiseman Hartley. He and Mabel Chasteen were married Dec. 16, 1928. She died in 1990.

Hartley was employed by Bi-State Bus Co. in St. Louis 30 years. He retired in 1973 and moved to Bloomfield. He was a member of West Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Hartley of Athens, Ga., Russell Hartley of St. Louis; a daughter, Carole Morgan of Bardwell, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeffery Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
