CHARLESTON -- Mildred E. Cheatham, 94, of Charleston died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born May 17, 1904, in Marshall County, Ky., daughter of Mose and Sara Holley Feezor. She and Walter J. Cheatham were married Oct. 7, 1922. He died Oct. 31, 1975.
Cheatham lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Calvin Cheatham of Niceville, Fla., Jimmy Cheatham of Hector, Ark., Jerry Cheatham of Dresden, Tenn., Charles Cheatham of Sikeston; a daughter, Betty Stockman of Sikeston; two sisters, Susie Barch of Luxora, Ark., Nellie Stallings of Charleston; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
