ANNA, Ill. -- Kenneth L. Sherrill, 92, of Anna died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 16, 1906, in Anna, son of Fulton Thomas and Addie Treece Sherrill. He and Geneva L. Ritter were married July 9, 1947, in Anna.

Sherrill had been assistant manager and manager of Yale, Rodgers, and Anna Drive In Theaters at Anna more than 50 years. He was also custodian at Anna National Bank 53 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church and life member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Sherrill of Jonesboro; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmy Keller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
