ST. MARY -- Earl L. Cavins, 68, of St. Mary died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home.

Cavins was born Nov. 23, 1930, at St. Louis, son of Samuel and Julia McClure Cavins.

He is survived by his former wife, Dolores Riney Cavins; four sons, Terry Cavins of St. Mary, David Cavins of Jersyville, Ill., Kevin Cavins of Loveland, Colo., Thomas Cavins of St. Louis; three daughters, Cheryl Cavins of St. Louis, Dianna Valleroy of Jackson, Michelle Albertson of Metomora, Ill.; two brothers, Everette "Steve" Cavins of St. Mary, Roy Cavins of Hardy, Ark.; a sister, Jacqueline Joggerst of St. Mary; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cavins was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary, with a prayer service at 7. The Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate at the prayer service.
