Frankie Marie Estes, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her home.

She was born June 11, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Francis M. and Anne Huey Williams. She and W.H. "Dutch" Estes were married April 20, 1930, at Marble Hill. He died Sept. 4, 1998.

Estes attended Southeast Missouri State University. She and her husband co-authored the book "I Will Not Leave You Comfortless." She also assisted him in many community activities and organizations.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, and member of St. Mark Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, James Estes of Florissant; a daughter, Martha Young of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorothy Williams of El Paso, Texas; four granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Dr. John Owen will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.
