SIKESTON -- Ruth L. Atkinson Graham, 78, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Bloomfield, daughter of Clyde R. and Jottie L. Williams Launius. She married Robert Atkinson on June 6, 1940, in Sikeston. He died March 25, 1975. She married Elzie Graham on Sept. 2, 1978, in Sikeston. He survives.

She moved from Bloomfield to Sikeston in 1939 and had worked at Grabers Department Store. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston where she had been a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.

She is survived by a son, Bob Atkinson of Bakersfield, Calif.; a daughter, Ruth Ann Wasson of Sikeston; a brother, Clyde L. Launius of Sikeston; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Brian Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
