SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Raymond J. Yamnitz, 85, of Sedgewickville died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center at Poplar Bluff. He was born May 31, 1914, at Patton, son of Henry A. and Clara Johnson Yamnitz. He and Geraldine Long were married Dec. 25, 1948...

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Raymond J. Yamnitz, 85, of Sedgewickville died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center at Poplar Bluff.

He was born May 31, 1914, at Patton, son of Henry A. and Clara Johnson Yamnitz. He and Geraldine Long were married Dec. 25, 1948.

Yamnitz was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Terry Yamnitz of Patton and Jerry Yamnitz of Perryville; a daughter, Brenda Noe of Patton; a brother, Lancie Yamnitz of Patton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to noon Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home at Perryville.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the Liberty Methodist Church. The Revs. Kirby Grindstaff and Floyd Statler will officiate, with burial to follow at Reagan's Chapel.
