TINKER MADDOX

DEXTER -- Funeral for Tommy "Tinker" Maddox of Dexter will be held at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Maddox, 61, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Clinton, Ark., son of George Landy and Sallie Jewell Roberson Maddox. He and Betty Jo Bledsoe were married March 15, 1958. She died May 23, 1972. He and Sheila Younger were married April 21, 1984, at Dexter.

Maddox lived in Dexter most of his life. He was a retired construction worker, and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Maddox of Dexter, Kenneth Maddox of Iberia; a daughter, Linda Hosentfeld of Fulton; a brother, Bob Maddox of Dexter; three sisters, Wanda Sanders of Essex, Sylvia Cook of Fairdealing, Loene Bradford of Clinton, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
