Adkins, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

She was born June 18, 1914, at Parma, daughter of Thomas Y. and Alice Pugh Adkins.
Adkins moved to Morehouse in 1933 from Parma, and then to Matthews in 1991. She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include a brother, Carl Adkins of Matthews.
