SCOTT CITY -- Harles Mitchell Pennington, 54, of Scott City died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at his home.

He was born Sept. 16, 1944, at Malden, son of Jack and Thelma Lucille Arrington Pennington.

Pennington was a 1962 graduate of the former College High School in Cape Girardeau.

He was a letter carrier in San Francisco, Calif., 17 years. He was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers. Pennington served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two brothers, Gary Pennington of Cape Girardeau, Bobbie Pennington of Memphis, Tenn.; and a sister, Alice Adams of Millersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Malden Memorial Park in Malden.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
