Norman B. Cheek, 92, of Jefferson City and formerly of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born March 5, 1907, near Marquand, the son of Ode and Lily Dameron Cheek. He married Ora Haynes April 27, 1927. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1992. Norman B. Cheek, 92, of Jefferson City and formerly of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

He was born March 5, 1907, near Marquand, the son of Ode and Lily Dameron Cheek.

He married Ora Haynes April 27, 1927. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1992. He married Edna Nobles Ridlen on Nov. 29, 1992. She survives.

He had worked for the Ford Motor Co. in Hazelwood from 1948 until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Hill. He also was a member of the Modern Woodsmen of America.

He also is survived by two sons, Robert L. Cheek of St. Louis and Bill G. Cheek of Cascade; a stepdaughter, Karen Grace of Jefferson City; a stepson, Roger Ridlen of Walterboro, S.C.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating.

Burial will be at Old Trace Creek Cemetery near Glen Allen.
