DONGOLA, Ill. -- Dean Ferguson, 64, of Dongola died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born Sept. 15, 1934, at Balcom, son of Glenn and Mae Carter Ferguson. DONGOLA, Ill. -- Dean Ferguson, 64, of Dongola died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born Sept. 15, 1934, at Balcom, son of Glenn and Mae Carter Ferguson. He and Patricia Livesay were married April 15, 1961.

Ferguson worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna 26 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deena Kelley of Dongola, LaDonna Wade of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Patrick "Joey" Ferguson of Dongola; a sister, Glenda Johnson of Dongola; a brother, Loren Ferguson of Anna; a stepsister, Violet Ferguson of Florida; a stepbrother, Roy Ferguson of Anna; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Big Creek Cemetery.
