PERRYVILLE -- Herbert L. Kiefer, 74, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 24, 1925, in Perryville, son of Carl J. and Sadie M. Phillips Kiefer. Kiefer had been a welder with Budd Industries. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II...

PERRYVILLE -- Herbert L. Kiefer, 74, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 24, 1925, in Perryville, son of Carl J. and Sadie M. Phillips Kiefer.

Kiefer had been a welder with Budd Industries. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include four sons, Bruce and Eric Kiefer of Wilson, N.C., Gregory Kiefer of New York, Mark Kiefer of Raleigh, N.C.; and a daughter, Sheila Saunders of Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a sister, and a brother.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Lause will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
