VELDA REA

MARBLE HILL -- Velda M. Rea, 79, of Marble Hill died Monday, July 26, 1999, at Clay West Nursing Home in St. Charles.

She was born April 4, 1920, in Wayne County, daughter of Elmer and Bertha Turner Sitze. She and Lester D. Rea were married Aug. 14, 1940.

Rea was a member of Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Carol Dalton of St. Charles; two brothers, Milford and Charles Sitze, both of Rosewood Heights, Ill.; a sister, Marie Withers of Godfrey, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gene Robbins will officiate. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
