LINDA DUNKER

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Linda L. Dunker, 52, of Sedgewickville died Monday, May 31, 1999, at her home.

She was born July 31, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Roy E. and Vera Deimund Weiss Sr. She and David W. Dunker were married May 18, 1974.

Dunker was a proofreader for Mid America Farm Grower newspaper in Perryville. She was a member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church in Sedgewickville, Perryville Democratic Party, Professional Business Women, and an aide to state Rep. Herb Fallert. She was the first woman alderman to serve in Perryville.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Roy "Junior" Weiss Jr. of New Orleans, Ronnie Weiss of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Carol Haberman of Steelville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 to 9 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Whitewater Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jesse Perry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
