CHAFFEE -- Graveside service for Lena Gisi, formerly of Chaffee, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.

Gisi, 109, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Ste. Genevieve.

She was born Nov. 11, 1889, in Ste. Genevieve, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Roth Hoffman. She and Marion Eugene Gisi were married June 29, 1919. He died April 17, 1971.

Gisi was a member of VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens, and RSVP, all in Chaffee.

Survivors include two daughters Eugenia Ferguson of Spring Hill, Fla., Venus Frissell of Ste. Genevieve; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
