VANDUSER -- William Gerdis Adams, 92, of Vanduser died Monday, June 21, 1999, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

He was born March 26, 1907, in Double Springs, Ala., son of William Elias and Selina Icedo Lovelady Adams. He and Elma McDonald were married Sept. 26, 1925, at Double Springs.

Adams was a bus driver for Scott County Central Schools 17 years, and also farmed. He was a member of Vanduser Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jack Adams of Sikeston, Leo Adams of Flintstone, Ga.; three daughters, Marie Geselle of Paw Paw, Mich., Jewel James and Dorothy Glover of Sikeston; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Lee Fansler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
