MARGARET E. KUBON

Margaret E. Kubon, 84, of Benton died April 29, 1999 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 5, 1914,in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of George Thomas and Emma Michael Thomas. She married Andrew Kubon on Aug. 12, 1967 in Chicago, Ill.

Mrs. Kubon worked as a cook in restaurants in the Chicago area for many years. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Toni Johnston of Benton and Margaret Dimford of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; two brothers, Roy Thomas of Chicago, Ill. and Lester Thomas of Sumner, Miss.; one sister, Mary Wiedenhoft of Falls Mills, W. Va.; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Benton from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 1999. Prayers will be offered by Brother Dale Huff of the Unity Baptist Church in Benton. Burial will be at a later date.
