Graveside and memorial services were held Sunday for Anita B. Baker, 68, of Cape Girardeau. She died Friday, April 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 5, 1930, at St. Louis, daughter of William T. and Alma L. Maynard Burgess. She married Hobart Baker on July 24, 1969.
She was a member of the LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau where she had served as a small-group leader. She had served as a volunteer for the Southeast Missouri Hospice and was retired from Southeast Missouri Hospital where she worked in the billing department.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Scott Jordan of Farmington; four daughters, Barbara Jordan Morse, Bonny Jordan Kalb, Angela Jordan Kester and Annette Jordan Emmons, all of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Greg Baker of Fremont, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Laura Baker of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Maureen Burton of St. Louis, Shirley Elting of Olympia, Wash., Dorothy McCoy of Cherryville; and 12 grandchildren.
