EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Flora May Brantley of Columbia will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Burl Britt will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.

Brantley, 91, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Boone Retirement Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1907, at Blodgett, daughter of Thomas Noel and Minnie N. Myers Cox. She and Herschel A. Brantley were married Oct. 19, 1930, at New Madrid. He died Jan. 17, 1975.

Brantley was a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church. She was active in the Foster Grandparent Program from 1975-91.

Survivors include a daughter, Alberta Dey of Columbia; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
