LILLIAN MARIA SASSEEN

CAIRO, Ill. -- Lillian Maria Sasseen, 88, of Cairo died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

She was born July 8, 1910, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the daughter of Tom and Rosa Bess Moore.

She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey Sasseen, of Cairo; a daughter, Joan Honey of Carterville; two sons, Edward Sasseen of Cairo and Edwin Sasseen of Paducah; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo;

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glynn Copeland officiating.

Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Charleston, Mo.
