KENNETT -- James Elmo White Sr., 69, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at North Chicago Veterans Hospital Hospice Care.

He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Dunklin County, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. White.

White was a graduate of Kennett High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He lived most of his life in the Waukegan, Ill., area. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheila White of Orlando, Fla.; a son, James White of Aspen, Colo.; three sisters, Anita Schulte of Jackson, Evelyn Holladay of Wright City, and Jo Revelle of Lutherville, Md.

Service was private. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
