J.W. FULKERSON

SIKESTON -- J.W. Fulkerson, 67, of Bloomfield, died Friday, May 7, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1931 at Sikeston, son of James H. Fulkerson Sr. and Beulah Robertson Fulkerson.

He married Kathryn "Kay" Koster at San Antonio, Texas. She died March 13, 1997.

He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He was a retired technical sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, and a retired foreman with Purolator Filter Co. of Dexter.

Survivors include a son, Highway Patrol Cpl. Cody Fulkerson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Gail Marie Fulkerson-Vasquez of Doylestown, Pa.; a brother, Glen Fulkerson of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Alma Lewis, Beulah Eaton and Dorothy Gillespie, all of Bloomfield, and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rainey Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
