PERRYVILLE -- Clara W. Guyot, 89, of Perryville died Saturday, May 15, 1999, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1910, at Ste. Genevieve, daughter of Joseph and Briget Kiefer Lurk. She and Melvin L. Guyot were married May 22, 1932. He died April 23, 1979.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, past president of the Ladies of Charity and a former tour guide at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at St. Mary's of the Barrens. Guyot was also active with Boy and Girl Scouts.

Survivors include a son, Roger L. Guyot of Perryville; a daughter, Beverly J. Pinet of Excelsior Springs; and a sister, Leona Schindler of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A parish wake will be at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
