CHARLESTON -- Mabel Lucille Coffer, 90, of Charleston died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Bertrand Retirement Center in Bertrand.
She was born Jan. 25, 1909, at Philadelphia, Miss., daughter of Ed and Georgia Moorman Holdiness. She and Brad Coffer were married Sept. 11, 1924. He died March 13, 1971.
She had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include three sons, Henry and Charles Coffer, both of Charleston and Larry W. Coffer of East Prairie; a daughter, Leota Groce of Wickliffe, Ky.; a sister, Nellie Sapp of Marston; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Three sons and six brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel, with the Rev. Buddy Hannah and Loy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Cemetery.
