WETAUG, Ill. -- Esau Bracken, 71, of Wetaug died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Anna, son of William J. and Dorothy Fisher Bracken.
Bracken was a retired mechanic and had worked at Leo Keller's Mill. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Sloan, a brother, Junior Bracken, both of Dongola; three stepbrothers, Clarence Lang of Dongola, Carroll and Junior Lang of Anna; and a stepsister, Mary Dixon of Dongola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery at Dongola, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
