JACKSON -- Edward Joseph Brugger, 83, of Jackson died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at the Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born Sept. 25, 1915, at Gordonville, son of Charles A. and Helen T. Kirn Brugger.

He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. After the war, he moved back to Gordonville. He owned and operated Gordonville Machine for several years.

He was later employed as a tool and die maker for Goodyear Rubber in Akron, Ohio, in the aircraft division. He also worked for Fairchild Aircraft in Oklahoma and Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, Ga. He retired and moved back to Gordonville in 1974.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include two brothers, Paul H. Brugger and Albert L. Brugger, both of Jackson; and a sister, Julietta A. Brugger of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft Miller Funeral Home, with parish prayers at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
