MARQUAND -- Helen P. Barks, 84, of Marquand died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1915, at Patton, daughter of John and Kitty Dolle. She and Dewey E. Barks were married June 13, 1936, at Fredericktown.
Barks was a member of the United Methodist Church at Marquand.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Shirley Huffman of Marquand, Janice Sitze of Marble Hill; a son, Michael Barks of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren, Anita Flanagan, Dena Zoellner, Leta Starkey, Kevin Huffman, Greg Huffman, Angela Sitze, Michael Barks and four great-grandchildren; Jason Wray, Christopher Huffman, Ashley Huffman, Bryant Barks.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Follis-Sonderman Funeral Home in Fredericktown, with W.D. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Church Cemetery at Patton. Pallbearers are Cary Flanagan, Wayne Zoellner, Greg Huffman, Scott Huffman, Chris Huffman, Jason Wray, Michael Barks, Jr. and Ray Starkey.
