CHARLESTON -- Lee Roy Williams, 42, of Carbondale, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, while walking along Interstate 57 in Mississippi County.

He was born July 3, 1957, in East Prairie, son of Isaiah and Clariece "Jackie" Vance Williams. He married Marva Pittman.

Survivors include four daughters, Tonya Williams of Sikeston, Lizzie Williams of Phoenix, Ariz., Shanna Anderson and Sherrie Howard of Charleston; two sons, Lee Roy Williams Jr. and Jimmy Williams of Phoenix; and his mother of Charleston.

Also surviving are six sisters, Ethar Ellis and Linda Hubert of Rock Island, Ill., Lena Mason of St. Louis, Cynthia Bryant, Annie and Elizabeth Williams of Charleston; two brothers, James Williams of Carbondale, and Robert Williams of Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Opportunity Church of God in Christ. The Rev. Steve Betts will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
