SCOTT CITY -- Robert John "Bob" Albrecht, 72, of Scott City, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 19, 1927, at Illmo, son of Louis and Edna Roth Albrecht.

He and Mabel Clara Meier were married Sept. 3, 1950, at Cape Girardeau.

He had been owner and operator of Albrecht Dairy Co., SEMO Bulk Hauling and Three M's Mini Market before retiring.

He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and was a past member and past president of the Scott City Kiwanis Club. He had served 37 years as president of the board of trustees for the Scott County Health Center. He also was a scoutmaster for Cub Scouts and had been a Little League coach.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy Seabees unit.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Melvin Albrecht of Homeworth, Ohio, and Mark Albrecht of Marion, Ill.; four brothers, Glenn Albrecht of Medford, Ore., Gordon Albrecht and George Albrecht, both of Scott City, and Garnett Albrecht of Clearwater, Fla.; four sisters, Gertrude Roeh of Houston, Texas, Grace Sandager of Wheat Ridge, Colo., Betty Shuba of Polston, Mont., and Lou Albrecht of Fairfield, Conn.; six grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
