Winnie H. Cox, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born May 15, 1908, in Balch, Ark., daughter of Benton and Ella Mae Jackson Howard. She and Joseph William Cox were married in 1929 in Arkansas. He died in 1980.

Cox was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church in Benton, Ark., its Women's Auxiliary, and had been a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include a son, Robert L. Cox of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, two sisters, and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Ark., from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holland Chapel Church, with the Rev. Jack Bloxom officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark.
