SIKESTON -- Hunter F. Moore Sr., 89, of Sikeston died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1910, in New Madrid, son of Alpheus "Bud" and Ethel Mae Broughton Moore. He and Pauline E. Tate were married April 16, 1929. She died Feb. 4, 1997...

SIKESTON -- Hunter F. Moore Sr., 89, of Sikeston died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born March 23, 1910, in New Madrid, son of Alpheus "Bud" and Ethel Mae Broughton Moore. He and Pauline E. Tate were married April 16, 1929. She died Feb. 4, 1997.

Moore was a self-employed farmer, and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Survivors include six sons, Hunter Moore Jr. of Cosby, Tenn., Glenn Moore of Memphis, Tenn., Al Moore of Sikeston, Jack Moore of Maumelle, Ark., Jerry and Joe Moore of Vista, Calif.; three daughters, Ruth Harville of Byhalia, Miss., Paula Cappadona of Cosby, Sally Moore of Roseville, Mich.; a brother, Sterling Moore of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
