CAIRO, Ill. -- Elizabeth Campbell, 75, of Cairo died Saturday, April 4, 1998, at the Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Tennessee, daughter of C.C. and Florence Kennedy Franklin.

She was a nurse's aide at the St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo for many years.

She was married to William Edward Campbell. He died in 1992.

She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia McAfee of Mount Pulaski; a stepdaughter, Bertha Virginia Seipman of Kenner, La.; three brothers, John Douglas Franklin of Cairo, Earl Franklin of Olive Branch and David Franklin of Ullin; five sisters, Mary Louise Stiff of Tamms, Dorothy J. Mayberry of Cairo, Barbara Ann Nunley of Peoria, Carolyn Sue Smith of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Linda Johnson of De Soto; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Cemetery in Dongola.
