TAMMS, Ill. -- Maxine Ufert, 80, of Tamms died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at Eunice Smith Home in Alton. She was born May 29, 1918, in Conception, Mo., daughter of Harry D. and Dessie Mable McAllister Wilson. She and Robert D. Ufert were married Dec. 19, 1964. He died June 19, 1992...

TAMMS, Ill. -- Maxine Ufert, 80, of Tamms died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at Eunice Smith Home in Alton.

She was born May 29, 1918, in Conception, Mo., daughter of Harry D. and Dessie Mable McAllister Wilson. She and Robert D. Ufert were married Dec. 19, 1964. He died June 19, 1992.

Ufert was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Franke and Betty Yuakebian of Alton; two brothers, Harry Wilson of Danville and Jack Wilson of Vienna.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery.
