ORAN -- Cecal Ray Lyles, 61, of North Richland Hills, Texas, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury, Texas.

He was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Checotah, Okla., son of Charlie and Opal Anthony Liles. He and Carolyn Maxine Carter were married April 1, 1956, at Oran.

Lyles was manager of Skaggs Super Market, and was a self-employed furniture repairman. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Muskogee, Okla. He moved to Texas in 1962 from Muskogee. Lyles was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eric Lyles of Ft. Worth, Texas, Brandon Lyles of North Richland Hills; his mother of Oran; a sister, Charlotte Jansen of Oran; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 11 a.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. His uncle, the Rev. Everett Anthony, will officiate. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery.
