PERKS, Ill. -- Margie Thieke, 71, of Perks died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at her home. She was born March 18, 1926, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Homer and Iva Eddleman Casper. PERKS, Ill. -- Margie Thieke, 71, of Perks died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 18, 1926, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Homer and Iva Eddleman Casper. She married David Thieke on July 11, 1942.

Thieke was the retired postmistress of the Perks Post Office. She was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jerrell Gene Thieke of Perks and Michael David Thieke of Murray, Ky.; two brothers, Wally Gene Casper of Decatur and Roy Casper of Dongola; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bryan Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Meisenheimer-Mount Olive Cemetery.
