GRAY RIDGE -- Marion Norman Triplett, 73, of Gray Ridge died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Aug. 23, 1924, at Gray Ridge, son of John and Lelia Tucker Triplett. He and Shirley Simmons were married in 1957.

Triplett retired as a heavy equipment operator on highway construction. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Triplett of St. Louis, Marion Triplett of Fairfax, Va., Norman Triplett of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Triplett of Dexter; three sisters, Thelma Moss, Lillas Heacox and Naomi Negroin of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
