ESTUS JEFFERY

Estus Jones Jeffery, 56, of Norfolk, Va., formerly of Haywood City, Mo., and Paducah, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, in Norfolk.

She was born Sept. 16, 1941, in Shugulak, Miss., daughter of Harry and Lurean Hardin Jones and had lived in Missouri since 1950. She was a Baptist.

She married Tommy Jeffery Sr. in 1967.

She is survived by three sons, Glen Ray Jeffery of Milwaukee, Tommy Jeffery Jr. of Paducah and Robert Lee Jeffery of Norfolk; two daughters, Vivian Ann Jones of Paducah and Doloris Irene Jeffery of Norfolk; four brothers, Kennie Jones and Sammie Jones of Sikeston; Harry Jones Jr. of LaVergne, Tenn, and Willie Jones of Cape Girardeau; seven sisters, Susie Haney, Mary Glover and Mattie Fort of St. Louis; Louise "Red" Wiley and Estella "Rabbit" Sharp of Haywood City, Alberta Davis of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Rosie Lewis of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Haywood City. Funeral service is at 1 at the church, with the Rev. Victor Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Haywood City Cemetery. Williams-Farr and Parnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
